Indian Embassy in Kuwait - Consular Services

 

  • For all Passport and consular services the applicant has to come to the Embassy in person along with passport/civil ID.

  • Applications are required to be submitted on prescribed application forms along with necessary enclosures at the Consular counters along with prescribed fees.

  • Blank application forms are available free of cost from “Facilitation Centre” at the Embassy. The Centre also provides assistance in filling up the forms and photocopying of documents at a nominal charge.

    Time taken for processing and delivery of documents

  • New passports : Two working days

  • Miscellaneous services : Same day

  • Attestation : One hour

  • Delivery of documents : Counter No.1

PIO Cards

  • Persons of Indian origin may obtain ‘PIO’ cards from the Embassy on application and payment of fee as under:

  • Adults above 18 years of age: KD102.000 (Valid for 15 years)

  • Children upto 18 years of age: KD51.000(Valid for 15 years)

  • PIO card holder shall not require a separate visa to visit India

New Passport - Fee : KD. 13.500


KD. 12.250 for 10 years validity
KD. 15.300 for Jumbo passport with 10 years validity
KD. 7.650 for 5 yearsvalidity for children below 15 years

  1. Submit original Passport
  2. Submit application form for New Passport
  3. Paste one recent photograph (35 x 45 mm) on application and sign across, with half the signature on the photograph and half on the application.
  4. Attach 2 recent photographs
  5. Applicant should come to the Embassy in person
  6. Sign with ball pen where specimen signature space given on last page of the application form

Loss of Passport or Damaged Passport - Fee : KD. 38.250

  1. Submit application for New Passport (2 sets).
  2. Submit personal particulars form ( 6 sets) .
    (Application form available in the Embassy - Free of charge)
  3. Paste one recent photograph (35 x 45 mm) on application for new passport - EA (P)1 and sign across with half the signature on the photograph and half on the application.
  4. Attach 7 recent photographs
  5. In case of lost passport, report of lost passport from passport office, from where applicants residence was stamped
  6. In case of lost passport, copy of lost passport & copy of Civil ID. Sworn affidavit from two Indian Citizens resident in Kuwait regarding identity and Citizenship of applicant.
  7. Statement about circumstances of lost / theft / damage including sponsor's details.
  8. In case of damaged passport, original damaged passport should be submitted along with application form Applicant should come to the Embassy in person
  9. Sign with ball pen at three designated places on last page of the application form.

Renewal of Passport - Fee : KD. 3.100

  1. Submit original passport
  2. Submit application form for miscellaneous services
  3. Paste one recent photograph (35 x 45 mm) on application and sign across with half the signature on the photograph and half on the application.
  4. In the case of late renewal, applicant should also submit an affidavit signed by him/her and also by the person known to applicant (Affidavit form available in the Embassy - Free of charge)

Emigration Check Not Required (ECNR) - Fee : KD. 3.100

  1. Submit original passport
  2. Submit prescribed form for ECNR (Form available in the Embassy - Free of charge)
  3. Submit application form for miscellaneous services EA (P) 2 (Application form available in the Embassy Free of charge)
  4. Paste one recent photograph (35 x 45 mm) on application form - EA (P) 2,and sign across with half the signature on the photograph and half on the application.

    Categories Eligible for ECNR:
  1. Those who have completed 3 years' stay abroad (Continuous or with break)
  2. Graduates and higher degree holders, or Diploma holders from polytechnics
  3. Nurses possessing qualifications recognized under the Indian Nursing Council Act,1947
  4. Persons possessing certificates of vocational training from Government/Government recognized institutions
  5. Wife and children of persons holding ECNR, provided wife and children are on dependent visa.
  6. Children are granted ECNR on the basis of their parent(s) entitlement but such ECNR will be valid till they attain 24 years of age.
  7. (In case of category 2,3 or 4, applicants should submit original and photo copy of certificates. In case of category 5 applicant should submit photo copy of father / husband's passport.

Police Clearance Certificate (P.C.C.) - Fee : KD. 6.250

  1. Submit original passport
  2. Submit application form for miscellaneous services EA (P) 2
  3. Paste one recent photograph (35 x 45 mm) on application and sign across with half the signature on the photograph and half on the application.
    Note: In the case of passports issued by other Passport Issuing Authorities (PIA) other than Kuwait, PCC would be granted after receipt of confirmation form concerned PIA which may take upto 45 days.
